Let me tell you a little about my own personal fitness journey - and what a journey it has been!

I have been involved in sports since a young age. My passion for Gaelic Football started off on the sidelines. It did not deter me from the sport, quite the opposite actually, it moulded me into the person I am today.


I was not on the same skill level as others on the team but I knew I had something others may not have - determination and ambition. I worked as hard as I possibly could to make a team and with many, many hours of consistency - the hard grind paid off! I made all the teams I dreamed of playing on and earned myself a permanent position on them. What will I be remembered for on the pitch? My work ethic and engine. What did I do to get on those teams? I controlled the controllables. 

I called a halt to my football career after 16 years, moved to Australia and dived head first into the Crossfit world. Everything that I learned from football I used to get better at Crossfit - patience, consistency, and dedication. I made it my goal to be in an environment were fitness and well-being was a priority. What happened as a result? I continued to improve, learn and grow in the sport.
